Fishers Ghost Art Award finalist

Dagmar's painting 'The Model II' is a finalist in this year's Fisher's Ghost Art Award. Her artist's statement for this large 200 (H) x 110 (W) cm painting is below.

Artwork statement

My oeuvre has always been about the private and the everyday —spaces where ritual and intimacy quietly shape our lives. This painting was painted for my resent show "Etre". A body of work that dealt with the quiet rituals of being. There were scenes like the one in this painting that may feel familiar, perhaps even like memories you’ve carried without realising. My hope is that as you move through the work, you sense both the universality and the privacy of these moments — and leave with a renewed attention to the quiet rituals in your own life.
